is a student competition where competitors display knowledge and skills developing a software product. The competition lasts intensive 24h during which participants solve given problem. Solution is presented to the jury of industry and academic experts.

How many team members per team?
Only teams of 4 will be accepted
Should all team members register
Yes,
all team members MUST register and use same team name during registration.
Who can participate?
All highschool and university level students.
Can a non-student participate?
No
Can part-time students participate?
Every student that can prove its student status is eligible to participate.
I registered! What now?
You will receive our confirmation email. After registrations are closed, we will have a Selection Quiz which will help us choose best 15 teams to enter the competition.
How does selection Quiz look like?
Test is solved by team, it covers various software engineering topics and some general ICT topics.
When and where will this Quiz take place?
Selection Quiz will take place online on November 8th 2016
Do I need to pay to participate?
No, there is no participation or any kind of fee.
What is hackathon assignment (topic) ?
Topic is not public, it will be revealed to participants at opening session.
What kind of technology can I use?
Any, whatever makes you confortable.
Should I bring my own PC?
It would be a good choice.
Will there be Internet?
Yes. Wi-Fi
Do you have application server i can use?
Yes, after selection we will contact all teams with details.
Can we use opensource libraries and solutions?
Yes.
Who has IP claims on developed solutions?
Nobody, solution must be public and open source at the end. See rules for more details.
Can we get help from outside (skype, slack,...)
No, it is against the rules. However, you can post public question on forums and services like Stackoverflow, each such case should be documented (linked)
What if we don't finish in time?
Then you present only the work completed during hackathon.
How many teams will participate?
10-15
How long does final presentation last?
5 minutes + jury questions
How should presentation look like?
“Pitch like” presentation with emphasis on a demo
Should i bring some food or drinks?
We provide plenty of food and beverages for all participants. But you are free to bring whatever you like.
Do you have a parking?
Yes.
What about travel and accomodation?
If necessary we will provide free accomodation. Depending on a total costs we will provide partial or total travel reimbursement.
Can I borrow extra screen?
Sure, but contact us in advance.
