Competition


Ready, Steady, Code! is a student competition where participants show knowledge and skills developing software and hardware product. Competition last for intensive 24 hours during which competitors solve given assignment. Solution is presented to jury of industry and academic professionals.
Competition will take place at Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin 26 and 27 of November 2016.

Participants

All participants must be highschool or university students. At any point should be able to prove student status in current academic year.

By participating, competitors agree on free of charge use of their personal data, photographs and video for marketing and dissemination purposes.

Organizers are not responsible for acts of participants. Each participant is legally and morally responsible for its actions during competition.

Organizers are not allowed to compete.

Registration

Teams are made of 4 participants.

Individual registration is not possible, as well as registration of teams with less or more than 4 participants. Each team member should register.

By participating, competitors agree on free of charge use of their personal data, photographs and video for marketing and dissemination purposes.

Selection

After registration, each team will get qualifying assignment that needs to be solved in defined timespan. This assignment is basis for selection procedure.

Selected team will be notified by emails provided during registration.

Competition duration

Competition starts on 26th of November 2016 at 10.00 AM and lasts until 27th of November 2016 10.00 AM

All teams should be present at venue location at least one hour before competition starts.

Closing ceremony and winner announcment will take place on the 27th of November 2016 8.00 PM

Prizes

1st place 1300 EUR per team
2nd place 800 EUR per team
3rd place 500 EUR per team

Competition assignment and evaluation

Competitors will receive assignment at the beginning of competition. It should be solved in exactly 24hours from beginning.

It is allowed to use opensource libraries, as a supporting feature, but it can not be main feature of solution.

It is allowed to use opensource resources available online.

After competition end, competitors are not allowed to edit or modify submitted solution or presentation.

Violation of law, intellectual property, competition rules, any form of cheating, or use of not allowed resources will result with team disqualification.

Solution will be evaluated by the jury of industry and academia experts.

Competition cancellation

Organizers can cancel or modify competition at any time, without notice

Organizers are allowed to modify this rules without notice.
